The aim of this policy is to ensure that AstroMind’s services are used safely, lawfully, and ethically. This Acceptable Use Policy, together with our Terms of Use located at: [INSERT] (the “Terms of Use”)applies to anyone using our services, and is intended to promote responsible AI practices. Capitalized terms used herein but undefined will have the meaning given to such term in the Terms of Use.
AstroMind is not responsible for the end-use of the AstroMind Service. You expressly understand and agree that you are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Customers agree to use the AstroMind Service responsibly and ethically. Our team will monitor use of our services to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy, so please read this policy carefully. We will update this policy as our technology advances, and as our knowledge of unanticipated associated risks evolves.
Customers may not use the AstroMind Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or unethical. This includes, but is not limited to, to the following standards:
Do Not Facilitate or Perpetrate Unlawful Activity
This includes using our products or services to:
- Produce, design, modify, sell or distribute of illegal substances, goods, or services
- Support, facilitate, or perpetuate violent extremism or terrorism
- Exploit or harm children
- Illegally compromise the privacy of others
Do Not Facilitate or Perpetrate Violent or Harmful Activity
This includes using our products or services to:
- Produce weapons or other munitions or munitions-related components of a weapon, such as sub-munitions, fuses and warheads, or the provision of services to the military directly related to weapons or the use thereof
- Facilitate or perpetrate offensive warfare or military operations, or border operations
- Facilitate or perpetrate any act of violence targeting individuals, groups, or property
Do Not Limit Individual Rights and Freedoms or Violate Internationally Recognized Human Rights
This includes using our products or services to:
- Support, facilitate, or perpetuate forced labor
- Promote, facilitate, or perpetrate any discriminatory activities against individuals or groups on the basis of one or more protected classes such as race/ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation
- Use, disclose, or publish sensitive, personal, or private information about individuals without obtaining all lawful rights and consent
- Target, or facilitate targeting, of a person’s location without their consent unless for the analysis of missing persons, or other applications that do not harm or violate a person’s individual liberty
- Build or facilitate biometric categorization for categorizing people based on race, political alignment, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, disability or health, or other protected class
Do Not Worsen Environmental Degradation and Climate Change
This includes using our products or services to:
- Inhibit the transition to a clean economy, facilitate activities that counter the principles and goals of the Paris Agreement, or aid in expanding fossil fuels emissions
- Facilitate or promote deforestation, the overexploitation of natural resources, or contribute to significant species loss
- Emit ozone-depleting chemicals or other harmful pollutants
The AstroMind Service may be used in the efforts of heavy industry to decarbonize, e.g., to detect leakages, enable other emissions reduction efforts, or to improve the safety of their operations.
Do Not Facilitate or Perpetrate Unethical or Morally Controversial Activity
This includes using our products or services to:
- Produce, design, modify, sell, or distribute addictive products or services
- Enable or conduct the unlawful use of intellectual property or aid in reverse engineering of intellectual property
- Produce, facilitate, or perpetrate deceptive or false campaigns with the intention of creating or advancing conspiratorial narratives, undermining democratic institutions, or misleading individuals or groups about medical, health or science issues
- Produce or facilitate the development of AI superintelligence
The following industries are deemed at higher risk of these incidents and customers in these industries may require additional review by AstroMind for acceptable end uses:
- Oil and Gas
- Chemical producers
- Nuclear energy
- Defense contracting
- Government entities
- Mining and extraction industries
- Gene development and modification
- Human and animal cloning
If a user does not comply with this policy, AstroMind reserves the right to take any or all of the following actions:
- Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the AstroMind Service
- Issue a warning
- Legal proceedings against the user for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach
- Further legal action
- Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonable feel is necessary or as required by law
